about

ABOUT

I grew up in a close-knit family of diplomats, doctors, educators and musicians, thriving in the bilingual and intercultural milieu offered by an international education with a strong focus on performing arts. In 2010, I was awarded the bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma with special credit for Music and Theatre.

At the Guildhall, during my Undergraduate degree studies, I performed the role of Susanna in W.A. Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, directed by Sally Burgess, Clive Timms and Linnhe Robertson; and of Tytania, Queen of the Fairies, in opera scenes from Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Dinah Stabb. During my Master's studies, roles included Smetana's Majenka from The Bartered Bride, Lucia from Britten's The Rape of Lucretia, directed by Dinah Stabb and Shirley Keane; as well as Papagena from Mozart's Die Zauberflote. I received 1st Prize at the 2010 W.A. Mozart International Voice Competition, Targoviste, and Best Young Singer Award at the National Lied Festival, Brasov in 2013. I have had Masterclasses with Dominic Wheeler and Amanda Roocroft at GSMD, and with Mariana Nicolesco at the International Hariclea Darclee Festival, as well as with Nelly Miricioiu, at the National Opera of Bucharest. In Summer 2016, I was offered a place at the Mediterranean Opera Studio & Festival in Italy (with Master Vocal Coach David Gowland, and Principal Voice Instructors Nelly Miricioiu, Salvatore Fischella and Jack LiVigni), and cast in Puccini's Opera Suor Angelica.

I owe my classical training to my mentor and principal voice professor, Susan McCulloch.

Along with my singing journey, I also focused on teaching music to children of all ages.

I am now an International Baccalaureate Music Teacher at Mark Twain International School. My students are now singing all over the world, after studying in top international universities.

It's an honour now to take on the challenge of Chief Advancement Officer at Mark Twain IS. This role now entails: Brand Managing, PR, Strategic New Educational Projects and more.
